US President Trump said in an interview on Friday that any Russian-Ukrainian peace agreement will ultimately have to be decided by him. Ukrainian President Zelensky is expected to meet with Trump in Florida on Sunday and told the media that he will bring a new 20-point peace plan. The framework of the plan includes a proposal to establish a demilitarized zone, and the talks are expected to focus on the security guarantees provided by the United States. However, during the interview, Trump was rather nonchalant about Zelensky's latest show of goodwill and was not in a hurry to endorse Ukraine's plan. “He didn't have anything until I approved it,” Trump said, “so let's see what he brought.” Still, Trump thinks this weekend's meeting could be productive. “I think my meeting with him went well. I think things will go well with Putin,” Trump said, adding that he expects to talk to the Russian president “as soon as I want.”
