Yu Weining, chief statistician of the Department of Industry of the National Bureau of Statistics, interpreted the profit data of industrial enterprises from January to November 2025. The profit-driving effect of the equipment manufacturing industry is obvious. From January to November, the profit of the equipment manufacturing industry above scale increased 7.7% year on year, driving the profit growth of industrial enterprises above scale by 2.8 percentage points. It is the sector that has the strongest driving effect on the profit growth of industrial enterprises above scale. From an industry perspective, 7 of the 8 major industries in the equipment manufacturing industry achieved year-on-year profit growth. Among them, profits in the railway, ship, aerospace, and electronics industries increased by double digits, reaching 27.8% and 15.0% respectively; profits in the automotive industry increased by 7.5%, 3.1 percentage points faster than in January-October; and profits in the general equipment, special equipment, and electrical machinery industries continued to grow, with growth rates of 4.8%, 4.6%, and 4.2% respectively.
