On December 26, the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Liaoning Province issued an announcement stating that the Panjin Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee decided to remove Gao Tao from the post of deputy to the 14th People's Congress of Liaoning Province. According to the relevant provisions of the “Law of the People's Republic of China on Deputies to the National People's Congress and Local People's Congresses at All Levels”, Gao Tao's representative qualification was terminated. Up to now, the 14th People's Congress of Liaoning Province actually has 595 delegates. Earlier, Gao Tao was removed from the post of vice-governor of Liaoning Province in March of this year.
