Lavrov said, “We are committed to continuing to cooperate with US negotiators to develop a lasting agreement to resolve the root causes of the conflict.” He also blamed Ukrainian President Zelensky and the “manipulators behind Europe” for not being ready for constructive dialogue, adding that “Europe and the EU have become major obstacles to the peace process, and there is no hiding the mentality that they are preparing to fight to the death with Russia on the battlefield.”
