The Zhitong Finance App learned that on December 26, the National Energy Administration held a symposium to promote the construction of high-quality charging infrastructure systems in 2025. The meeting called for the next step to accelerate the construction of a high-quality charging infrastructure system by improving facilities, improving services, and strengthening safety to solidly promote the implementation of the “three-year doubling” action plan for electric vehicle charging facilities. Improve the charging infrastructure service network to improve the coverage of charging facilities in key scenarios such as residential areas and rural areas; optimize the service efficiency of charging infrastructure and promote the planning and construction of high-power charging facilities; focus on improving the quality of charging operation services to effectively protect consumer rights and interests; accelerate the cultivation of a healthy industrial ecosystem and further promote large-scale interactive application pilot projects for vehicle networks; strengthen the safety management of charging infrastructure to prevent and mitigate safety risks in the charging field.

The National Energy Administration held a symposium on promoting the construction of high-quality charging infrastructure systems in 2025
On December 26, the National Energy Administration held a symposium on promoting the construction of high-quality charging infrastructure systems in 2025 in Kunming, Yunnan, to summarize and exchange experiences and practices, and study and deploy the next steps. He Yang, member of the party group and deputy director of the National Energy Administration, attended the symposium and delivered a speech.
The conference pointed out that 2025 will be a year of comprehensive upgrading of the country's charging infrastructure development. Charging guarantees are stronger. By the end of November, 19.322 million charging facilities had been built nationwide. The coverage of facilities is more extensive. A total of 70,500 charging facilities have been built in highway service areas across the country, and 19 provinces have achieved “full coverage” of charging facilities in rural and rural areas. Charging services are more efficient, high-power charging facilities are being deployed faster, and the average charging power of public stations across the country has increased by 30%. The rapid and healthy development of charging infrastructure and the charging industry has provided a strong guarantee for green travel, injected fresh vitality into high-quality economic development, and provided positive support for achieving the goal of “carbon peak and carbon neutrality”.
The conference pointed out that with the acceleration of construction of China's charging infrastructure system, the development of the charging industry has shown some new trends and changes. The main contradiction in the layout of charging facilities has changed from insufficient supply to uneven layout, industry competition has changed from “expansion” to “focus on service,” and the trend of cross-sector integration is becoming more and more obvious. In line with the requirements for high-quality development, the current development of the charging field is still lacking in terms of policy standards, planning coordination, and safety management.
Relevant national ministries and departments, provincial (district and municipal) charging facility authorities, industry associations, consulting agencies, the State Grid Corporation, China Southern Power Grid Corporation, Inner Mongolia Electric Power Group and related charging facility operation service enterprises attended the conference.
