The world's largest professional organization of accountants has decided to cancel remote testing in response to increased cheating when candidates take tests online. Helen Brand, CEO of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, revealed that the organization has 257,900 members and will end the online exam model starting next March. Candidates will need to go to an offline examination room to participate in the assessment, except in special circumstances. The remote monitoring model was introduced during the pandemic to allow candidates to continue to complete the accountant professional qualification process during the lockdown period.
