PETALING JAYA: Cypark Resources Bhd has agreed with the Malaysian Government and the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corp to undertake the development of Phase 2 of the waste-to-energy plant at Ladang Tanah Merah, Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.

In a statement, the renewable energy and environmental solutions provider said the development is pursuant to the supplementary concession agreement (CA) dated March 6, 2026, which supplements the CA dated Nov 9, 2015 that was signed between the parties.

“The expansion represents the next phase of development for Cypark’s flagship Smart WTE facility at Ladang Tanah Merah, which plays an important role in Malaysia’s integrated waste management ecosystem.

“The facility converts municipal solid waste into renewable energy, helping to reduce landfill dependency while contributing to the country’s transition towards a more sustainable and circular economy.”

Cypark said the phase 2 development is expected to further enhance the facility’s role in supporting sustainable waste management solutions, while contributing to Malaysia’s broader environmental and energy transition objectives.
