On May 10, the “Discovery 1” research vessel successfully arrived in Guangzhou with the “Striver” manned submersible, and successfully completed the “Global Abyss Exploration Program” Pacific crossing scientific voyage and the first China-Chile Atacama Trench manned deep diving joint scientific expedition. This is an important practice of China's deep-sea scientific and technological forces continuing to advance into the global abyss and deepening international cooperation in marine science and technology. During the voyage, the “Striver” completed a total of 63 dives, of which 50 dived to a depth of more than 6,000 meters.
