Earlier, in March, about two weeks after the outbreak of the Iranian conflict, he said that “it is very likely” that gasoline prices will fall below pre-war levels of $3 per gallon before the busy summer travel season arrives. When asked about the March remarks on Sunday, he said he was unable to make predictions and added, “What I can say is that energy prices will drop when we start to see traffic in the Strait of Hormuz return to clear traffic.”
