Spain's Andalusia autonomous region government confirmed in the early morning of the 10th that a forest fire broke out on the afternoon of the 9th in Los Gallardos in the southern province of Almeria, which had killed 6 people. The Andalusian emergency services department said that a fire alarm was received at around 17:00 local time on the 9th, and the fire spread rapidly to neighboring towns in Bedar. The local government initiated an emergency plan for forest fires, urgently evacuated residents from various settlements in and around Bedar, and closed some roads. Rescuers then found 6 victims near the fire, many of whom were inside the burnt down car. Currently, ground and air forces are still fighting the fire. The local government said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
