The 83rd Fleet of the Chinese Navy ended a four-day goodwill visit to Vietnam on the morning of the 9th. It set sail from Lianhua Port Wharf in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to continue a comprehensive offshore internship mission. At around 10 a.m., the Vietnamese side held a farewell ceremony at Lianhua Port Wharf. Staff from the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of local Chinese overseas Chinese, Chinese institutions, international students, and representatives of Vietnamese Navy officers and soldiers visited the pier. After leaving Hong Kong, the formation and Vietnamese Navy ships carried out joint training in subjects such as formation movement, hand flag communication, and ship etiquette in nearby waters. During the visit, the 83rd Fleet Corps organized representatives of officers and soldiers to lay flowers at the Ho Chi Minh Statue, visit the Ho Chi Minh University of Humanities and Social Sciences, and hold events such as the opening of ships and friendly soccer matches. This visit is a concrete manifestation of deepening cooperation between the Chinese and Vietnamese navies in the fields of exchange of ship visits and joint patrols, and has played a positive role in enhancing mutual trust between the two countries and maintaining regional stability.
