Scor, Japan Post Insurance Sign MOU to Establish Reinsurance Vehicle

03:34 AM EDT, 07/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- French reinsurer Scor (SCR.PA) signed a memorandum of understanding with Japan Post Insurance Co. to establish a reinsurance vehicle for risk management. The vehicle, to be established and operated by Scor, will assume underwriting risks held by both Japan Post Insurance and Scor, according to a Friday release. The memorandum also includes the cession of underwriting risks under Japan Post's postal life insurance policies. Japan Post intends to hold less than 50% of the voting rights in the reinsurance vehicle.
