South Korean chip giant SK Hynix will land on the NASDAQ exchange where technology stocks gather this Friday. This move will open up a powerful new financing channel for it and facilitate global investors to lay out a rapidly growing artificial intelligence infrastructure circuit. The world's second-largest memory chip maker plans to raise about 40 trillion won by issuing American Depositary Receipts on NASDAQ. A total of 177.9 million American Depositary Receipts were issued at a price of US$149 each. One ADR corresponds to one-tenth of its common shares listed on the Seoul Stock Exchange in Korea. This listing is expected to rank among the largest overseas IPOs in US stock history, second only to SpaceX in terms of fund-raising scale, which is enough to reflect the strong will of global capital to invest in core companies in the AI industry chain. Industry analysts said that in addition to receiving huge capital injections, landing on the NASDAQ will also boost SK Hynix's global valuation, broaden financing channels in the international capital market, and consolidate the company's long-term fund-raising capabilities. At the NASDAQ listing bell ceremony this Friday, Choi Tae-won and a group of company executives will introduce the company's technical advantages and long-term development plans to global investors.
