According to a report by Radio Television Hong Kong on July 10, Cathay Pacific confirmed that the rear of the flight from Tokyo Narita Airport to Hong Kong last Friday touched the surface of the runway when the flight resumed during the landing in Hong Kong due to poor weather conditions. All passengers and crew were safe during the incident, and no injuries were reported. Cathay Pacific said that the passenger plane in question was an Airbus A330-300. The flight then landed safely at Hong Kong International Airport and glided to the parking spot as usual. All passengers left the cabin on their own. Cathay Pacific said the engineering team is carrying out a full inspection and will complete the necessary maintenance work before the aircraft is put back into service.
