An Amazon subsidiary is finalizing an licensing agreement with InterDigital that will resolve patent infringement allegations against Amazon FireTV devices. The judge on Thursday approved a joint motion between InterDigital and Amazon Services LLC to suspend the lawsuit in the Delaware federal district court while the two sides advance the agreement. The arbitration agreement reached on July 6 required both parties to apply for this suspension. InterDigital sued Amazon in November last year, alleging that its FireTV devices and other video streaming hardware infringed five patents covering video processing and compression technology.
