The European Commission's preliminary findings determined that Meta failed to adequately assess and mitigate these risks. The EU side requested Meta to introduce relevant corrective measures, including setting regular screen break reminders, strengthening parental control functions, and adjusting content recommendation algorithms. Meta said it does not agree with the findings of the investigation, but will continue to communicate and negotiate with EU regulators.
