Coordinated regional development is an intrinsic requirement for Chinese-style modernization. While presiding over the 20th special study of the State Council, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council emphasized that coordinated regional development strategies, major regional strategies, and new urbanization strategies are all major strategies based on territorial space. It is necessary to systematically sort out the spatial development patterns, regional functions, and implementation priorities defined in different national strategies, and promote coordination and superposition of the main functional area strategy with other countries' major strategies in an integrated manner.
