Fayda Hussain Maliki, a member of the National Security Council of Iran's parliament, said: “The country's defensive posture is in a very ideal state. The military commanders have made it clear that even if negotiations or a cease-fire of any kind are carried out, they will never 'take the handle off the trigger'. In response to any action by the United States, we will significantly strengthen our own actions.” He added: “In the near future, we will witness the unveiling of new defensive equipment and systems that will be directly used in response to US attacks.”
