The China Index Research Institute recently released “CI Buddy: National French Auction Market Monitoring Report from January to June 2026", showing that from January to June 2026, the overall national French auction market showed a pattern of “volume increase and price decline, and structural differentiation”. The volume picked up slightly, with sales volume of about 103,000 units in the first half of the year, an increase of about 29.8% over the first half of 2025; the transaction amount rebounded simultaneously but prices were under pressure. The total transaction amount was about 151.5 billion yuan, an increase of 17.6% over the previous year. The average price of residential sales in France was about 8,165 yuan/square meter, down from the same period in 2025.
