French President Emmanuel Macron announced today that France will invest an additional 36 billion euros in defense between 2026 and 2030. Allegedly, the additional investment will mainly be used to increase ammunition reserves, strengthen the military's combat readiness level, enhance France's national defense autonomy, and enhance nuclear deterrence capabilities.
