AstraZeneca Signs Licensing Deal With Dizal for Lung Cancer Treatment

02:18 AM EDT, 07/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AstraZeneca (AZN.L, AZN.ST) signed a licensing deal with Dizal Pharmaceutical for Zegfrovy, a novel oral epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitor for lung cancer. The pharmaceutical giant said in a Tuesday release that it will acquire global rights to develop and commercialize Zegfrovy. The deal comprises an upfront payment of $600 million to Dizal, with additional milestone-related payments of up to $900 million. Dizal will also receive tiered royalties on global sales. The deal is expected to be completed in the second half of 2026, subject to customary conditions including regulatory approvals.
