League of Arab States Secretary General Nabil Fahmi held his first press conference since taking office at the Arab League headquarters on the 13th to explain governance concepts on topics such as safeguarding Arab sovereignty, Arab League reform, and Sino-Arab relations. Fahmi stressed that the Arab League will not remain neutral against any act of aggression against the sovereignty of Arab countries, and he called on the Arab countries to adopt a unified position on this issue. He pointed out that the concept of Arab national security is no longer limited to the military level, but also includes Red Sea and Gulf security, maritime channel security, energy security and supply chain security, as well as water resources and food security.
