More than 180 members of the Islamic Parliament of Iran issued a statement stressing the need to “revenge” and “punish” the perpetrators of attacks on Iran. In their statement, these lawmakers called on Iran's state authorities to take a firm stand and strengthen defense and deterrent capabilities; they requested the establishment of a special committee to review relevant negotiations and the Iran-US memorandum of understanding, speed up the enactment of laws such as the Hormuz Strait Management Law, and fully support the actions of the Iranian armed forces. Currently, the number of members of parliament who have signed the statement is still increasing.
