The Colombian military said on the 14th that government forces rescued 45 civilians abducted by the anti-government armed “Armed Forces for the National Liberation of Colombia” in the western province of Choco on the same day. During the operation, 2 soldiers were killed and 5 others were injured. The Colombian military said via social media that its operation successfully forced the militants to release all of the detainees, including 4 minors. Currently, these civilians have safely arrived at a military camp on military helicopters.
