Boosted by a 27% surge in American Depositary Receipts overnight, SK Hynix's biggest intraday increase of 12% on the Korea Exchange. Barclays covered SK Hynix's ratings on its American Depositary Receipts, with an initial rating of “increased holdings” and a target price of $330. According to estimates, there is room for a 70% increase in the target price compared to Tuesday's closing price. A team of analysts led by Simon Coles said in the research report: “We expect the tight supply and demand situation in the memory chip industry to intensify further in 2027, and there is limited room for improvement in the supply and demand pattern in 2028.” Analysts added that setting up the front-end wafer manufacturing business in the US is expected to close the valuation gap between it and Micron. SK Hynix, which is listed in Korea, has accumulated a cumulative increase of 221% since this year. The benchmark Korea Composite Index rose 7.3% in the intraday period, while Samsung Electronics rose 8%.
