Hong Kong Financial Services Council Annual Report: Investors value stability and growth potential, highlights Hong Kong's dual advantages in allocating value

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on July 15, the Hong Kong Financial Services Council published the 2025-26 financial year report. Explain that during the period from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026, the Financial Services Council proposed a number of key measures, and the Hong Kong Government's adoption rate of policy proposals reached 73%. According to the report, the FSA published a total of six policy research reports and publications during the year, focusing on priority areas such as capital markets, commodities, asset and wealth management, sustainable finance, and impact capital.

Chairman of the Financial Services Bureau, Hong Pizheng, said that under the rapidly changing global landscape, investors are paying more and more attention to market stability, growth potential, and policy predictability. Hong Kong is one of the few regions in the world with these advantages. It is playing a strategic role in growth and risk diversification in fields such as global capital markets, wealth management, digital assets, and RMB internationalization.

Since its establishment in 2013, the Financial Services Council has put forward a total of 275 policy proposals, of which 201 were followed up by the HKSAR Government, demonstrating its influence in assisting policy formulation and promoting the development of Hong Kong's financial ecosystem.

The Financial Services Bureau has been working hard to enhance Hong Kong's international image as an international financial center, and promoted the global market during the year. It showcased Hong Kong's unique advantages as an international financial hub through a series of feature films, covering major markets such as the US, Europe and the Middle East, and has accumulated about 47 million views worldwide.

In terms of talent development, the Financial Services Bureau, together with local universities and industry partners, hosted the 3rd Annual Industry Talent Event, which attracted more than 260 university students and new to mid-level professionals to participate, focusing on industry opportunities brought about by the spread of artificial intelligence.
