National Energy Administration: The electricity consumption of the entire society increased 3.7% year-on-year in June to 898.1 billion kilowatt-hours

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on July 15, the National Energy Administration released data such as the electricity consumption of the whole society for June. In June, the electricity consumption of the entire society was 898.1 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 3.7% over the previous year. Looking at electricity consumption by industry, electricity consumption in the primary sector was 13.6 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 2.0% over the previous year. Electricity consumption in the secondary sector was 573.4 billion kilowatt-hours, up 4.7% year on year; among them, industrial electricity consumption was 568.3 billion kilowatt-hours, up 4.9% year on year, and electricity consumption in the high-tech and equipment manufacturing industry was 112.1 billion kilowatt-hours, up 10.3% year on year. Electricity consumption in the tertiary sector was 186 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 5.6% over the previous year; among them, the electricity consumption of charging and switching services and Internet data services was 14.8 billion and 9.1 billion kilowatt-hours, respectively, with growth rates of 57.1% and 41.4% respectively. Urban and rural residents consume 125.1 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, a year-on-year decrease of 3.1%.

From January to June, the total electricity consumption of the entire society was 5099.9 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 5.3% over the previous year. Looking at electricity consumption by industry, electricity consumption in the primary sector was 71.1 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 4.9% over the previous year. Electricity consumption in the secondary sector was 335.7 billion kilowatt-hours, up 5.1% year on year; among them, industrial electricity consumption was 3276 billion kilowatt-hours, up 5.3% year on year, and electricity consumption in the high-tech and equipment manufacturing industry was 60.8 billion kilowatt-hours, up 9.8% year on year. Electricity consumption in the tertiary sector was 991.6 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 8.0% over the previous year; among them, the electricity consumption of the charging and switching service industry and Internet data services was 81 billion and 49.4 billion kilowatt-hours, respectively, with growth rates of 56.9% and 44.0% respectively. The daily electricity consumption of urban and rural residents was 731.5 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 3.1% over the previous year.
