China's first deep-sea, intelligent submarine cable construction ship, “Tianyi Pilot”, was officially listed in Shanghai yesterday and carried out full-system submarine cable construction tests, laying a solid foundation for the development of computing power and artificial intelligence. The “Tianyi Navigator” is 116 meters long and has comprehensive capabilities to lay, maintain and overhaul submarine cables in global waters. The ship is 24 meters wide, 12 meters deep, and has a full load displacement of 18,000 tons. Its cable cabin can carry 8,000 tons of undersea communication optical cables, ranking first in the world.
