The official website of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Affairs reported on July 16 that the State Council has appointed and dismissed national staff. Cha Xianyou was appointed Deputy Director of the National Commission on Ethnic Affairs; Zhang Yuzhuo was appointed President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Zhang Jun, Chen Jie, Li Zhongping, Chen Jianfeng, and Chen Wei were appointed Vice Presidents of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. Tan Quan was removed from the post of assistant minister of public security; Li Xiaohong was removed from the post of president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; and Li Zhenguo was removed from the post of deputy political commissar of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
