TSMC announced that it will raise its capital expenditure guidance for the full year 2026 from US$52-56 billion to US$60-64 billion. Wei Zhejia, chairman and CEO of TSMC, explained at the French conference that the incremental demand for this increase in expenditure comes from two aspects: first, market demand continues to rise, and customers are strongly demanding that TSMC expand production capacity simultaneously; second, equipment inflation is increasing procurement costs.
