The only autonomous driving company! Wenyuan Zhixing (00800) was selected as the 2026 WAIC Top Ten Cases of International Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence Technology and Products

The Zhitong Finance App learned that on July 17, the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and High-Level Conference on Artificial Intelligence Global Governance (2026 WAIC) opened in Shanghai. At the main forum, the National Development and Reform Commission and relevant departments released the “China Wisdom Benefits the World (2026)” case collection. Wenyuan Zhixing WeRide (WRD.US, 00800), a world-leading autonomous driving technology company, went overseas for an autonomous driving practice project in the UAE and was selected as one of the top ten examples of international cooperation in artificial intelligence technology and products in the “China Smart World (2026)”, and became the only autonomous driving company among them.

Since 2024, the National Development and Reform Commission has published the “China Wisely Benefits the World” case book for three consecutive years to select AI international cooperation projects with practical results and exemplary significance. The top ten cases selected this year covered a wider range of regions and countries, focused on richer “AI+” cooperation scenarios, focused on presenting the deep integration of Chinese artificial intelligence with the actual needs of various countries, and showcasing the Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions that Chinese artificial intelligence empowers global development.

This also echoes the main line of 2026WAIC's promotion of global AI collaboration. On July 16, on the eve of the opening of the conference, the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization was established in Shanghai, and 29 countries became founding members. It will establish a long-term multilateral cooperation mechanism to promote international cooperation and global governance on artificial intelligence.

The representative aspect of Wenyuan Zhixing's overseas overseas project is to allow China's L4 autonomous driving technology to truly enter overseas urban transportation systems, providing a benchmark practice for Chinese AI to help upgrade local traffic. This selection not only reflects the project's operating results and demonstration value in the local area, but also shows the leading level of China's autonomous driving participation in global industrial cooperation.

Today, Wenyuan Zhixing Robotaxi has achieved pure unmanned commercial operations in the two major emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Local users can call the Robotaxi service with one click through the Uber platform. As a result, Wenyuan Zhixing has become the only company outside the US that provides pure unmanned Robotaxi services on the Uber platform.

Over the past year, the company's large-scale autonomous driving operation in the UAE has accelerated. In October 2025, Wenyuan Zhixing officially entered Ras al-Khaimah, the third emirate of the United Arab Emirates, and began trial operation of Robotaxi. In November of the same year, Wenyuan Zhixing obtained the world's first city-level L4 autonomous driving commercial license outside the US, and launched the Middle East's first fully unmanned Robotaxi operation service in Abu Dhabi. Currently, Wenyuan Zhixing's Robotaxi service coverage has covered about 70% of Abu Dhabi's core area. In December 2025, Wenyuan Zhixing Robotaxi launched public operation in Dubai, and began pure unmanned commercial operation in February 2026.

Represented by the UAE project, Wenyuan Zhixing has developed global capabilities covering technology adaptation, regulatory access, and commercial operations, which can promote the integration of autonomous driving into urban transportation systems in different markets. At present, the company's autonomous driving products have been deployed in 12 countries and more than 40 cities. Its products have eight autonomous driving licenses, and the global L4 fleet exceeds 3,000 vehicles.

In addition to the UAE, Wenyuan Zhixing has also launched Robotaxi public operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and has further expanded into cities such as Madrid, Spain and Zurich, Switzerland, and continues to expand its global layout covering multiple regions, products, and scenarios.
