Vrajic said that the African swine fever epidemic in Croatia is spreading at an accelerated pace. Currently, a total of 89 cases have been reported, of which one-third were concentrated in the past few days. 2,822 pigs have been culled during the epidemic prevention process. If the spread of the epidemic cannot be effectively contained, the number of pigs culled will rise sharply in the future. According to him, the Croatian government has invested more than 50 million euros to deal with this crisis since 2023.
