On July 19, Zheng Weimin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of computer science and technology at Tsinghua University, said at the Agentic Era AI Infrastructure Innovation and Development Forum that rapid expansion of computing power does not equal the generation of efficient token production capacity. What is really scarce in the age of smart devices is not just chips, but a stable, low-cost, high-grade real estate system ability to produce tokens. Tokens are changing from technical indicators to core production factors in the industry, and inference systems are also moving from stand-alone optimization to distributed, cached, heterogeneous, and service-oriented.
