There are 226 unloaded tankers and 159 fully loaded tankers in the Gulf of Oman east of the Strait of Hormuz. Since the tension escalated again on July 6, the proportion of tankers crossing the Strait of Hormuz with transparent ownership information has dropped to 45%, compared to 67% during the interim peace agreement.
