The Zhitong Finance App learned that, according to reports, Beijing-based GigaAI (GigaAI) is discussing an initial public offering (IPO) in Hong Kong as soon as this year. Huang Guan, founder and CEO of Excellent Vision, said in an interview during the World Artificial Intelligence Conference held in Shanghai that a new round of financing is about to be completed, and the company's valuation will reach 3 billion US dollars, which is one step closer to going public. He said this will make Excellent Vision the world model startup with the highest valuation in China. World models can enable artificial intelligence to better characterize and predict human and object movements.

Huang Guan said, “Globally, we will be the first company among the world's model startups to go public.”

However, Huang Guan did not respond positively to whether a listed sponsor or investment bank has been hired.

GigaAI was founded in 2023 and is the first technology company in China to lay out a “world model”. Founder Huang Guan has a PhD in automation at Tsinghua University and has work experience at top institutions such as Microsoft Research Asia and Samsung China Research Institute. The core team comes from world-renowned institutions such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, CMU, as well as companies such as Microsoft, Samsung, Horizon, Baidu, and Bosch.

From March to June 2026, GigaAI completed three rounds of pre-B, B1, and B2 financing within three months, totaling RMB 3.5 billion. The investor lineup includes leading institutions such as Singapore Lion City Capital, CCI Investment, HUAWEI Hubble, CICC Capital, and BAIC Industrial Investment.
