Japan's core inflation index has rebounded for the first time in three months, and expectations that the Bank of Japan will raise interest rates again during the year have stabilized further. Japan's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications announced on Friday that the core consumer price index excluding fresh food rose 1.6% year on year in June. This data is in line with the survey's median forecast. Meanwhile, the core core CPI, which excludes fresh food and energy and is regarded as the core inflation benchmark by the Bank of Japan, rose 1.7% year on year, and the overall CPI also increased 1.7% year on year.
