On July 24, Zhang Xingwang, vice-minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, said at the press conference of the State Information Office that the results of the comprehensive regulation of pig production capacity have initially been shown. The number of sows that can be raised has now been reduced to 37.8 million heads, returning back to the green and reasonable range of production capacity control.
