Nigeria's Dangote Cement Eyes London Listing by Year-end

04:14 AM EDT, 07/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Dangote Cement is considering a secondary listing of its cement business on the London stock exchange, viewing the market as more "compatible" with its business than Dubai, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing board member Mariya Dangote. The Nigeria-based cement maker also expects its shares to be placed more quickly in London, with Mariya noting that a secondary listing in Dubai could have taken several years, according to the report. The listing is expected by the end of 2026 or in the first quarter of 2027. Separately, an initial public offering of the company's refinery in Africa could take place in September, the report cited Mariya as saying.
