Maike Pharmaceutical-B (02335): MT200605 completed database locking in phase II clinical trial for acute ischemic stroke (AIS)

MT200605 is an injectable neuroprotective agent with a dual synergistic mechanism. The design aims to reduce cell death by simultaneously activating TrkB receptors and removing oxygen radicals, thereby inhibiting neuronal apoptosis, reducing excitatory toxicity, and reducing inflammatory response; on the other hand, by reactivating endogenous repair procedures in neuronal cells upstream, to improve synaptic plasticity and promote neuronal regeneration.

The phase II clinical trial of MT200605 for acute ischemic stroke conducted in China is a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial aimed at evaluating the efficacy, safety and pharmacokinetics of MT200605. The phase II clinical trial completed the first patient enrollment in September 2025, completed enrollment of all 360 patients in March 2026, completed the last patient withdrawal in June 2026, and completed database locking recently.
