I learned from the China Chain Management Association that in the first half of the year, the number of visitors and online and offline sales in China's supermarket chain industry all increased year-on-year. According to a July survey of 92 supermarket chains and 15,000 stores by the China Chain Management Association, in the first half of this year, the 92 companies surveyed accounted for 58.7%, 56.5%, and 73.9% of the total sales, offline store sales, and online sales, respectively. Furthermore, among the supermarket chains surveyed, the number of visitors to offline stores increased year-on-year in the first half of the year and remained flat, accounting for 65.2%, which is 5.2 percentage points higher than in the first half of last year. The data also showed that of the 92 supermarket chains surveyed, 5 exceeded sales tasks for the first half of the year, 49 basically completed, 30 were slightly below expectations, and 8 clearly fell short of expectations. The total number of companies that basically completed or exceeded sales tasks in the first half of the year was 54, accounting for 58.7%.
