On July 26, local time, Serbian President Vučić said that the timing of the presidential election will depend on the arrangement of the parliamentary election. If the parliamentary election is held in October of this year, the presidential election may be held as early as the end of December this year or the beginning of January next year; if the parliamentary election is held in November, the presidential election will be held in January next year, not later than the beginning of February. Vučić expressed his belief that voters will decide the future direction of Serbia's development during the elections. Vučić was elected president in April 2017 and re-elected in May 2022. According to the Constitution of Serbia, the presidential term of office is 5 years and can be re-elected once.
