Zhitong Finance App learned that Hong Kong's Director of Investment Promotion Liu Kaixuan revealed during an interview that some gold traders have expressed interest in entering Beidu District and even setting up a refinery. Among them, the department helped a Swiss precious metals company set up a regional headquarters in Hong Kong, but if the company were to build an industrial park in Beidu, it may take two or three years. During the transition period, the department hopes that the company will first settle in Science Park or elsewhere in the city center.

In the first half of this year, the Hong Kong Investment Promotion Department introduced 413 enterprises to settle in, up 9% year-on-year, with mainland enterprises accounting for 60%. Liu Kaixuan said that in fact, British, Japanese, and Singaporean companies have all risen. She is also confident that she can reach the KPI of helping at least 1,200 companies to settle in today and next two years. She also expressed the hope that enterprises will make good use of the platforms of the Hong Kong Risk Management Center and Financial Center when “going overseas”.
