02:11 AM EDT, 07/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- French satellite operator Eutelsat Communications (ETL.PA, ETL.L) expects to receive pre-tax incentive payments of $504 million under the new US regulatory framework for the transition of Upper C-band spectrum. The US Federal Communications Commission established a framework for the reallocation of 160 megahertz of upper C-band spectrum to back the expansion of advanced wireless services in the US and ensure the continuity of critical satellite services, according to a Monday release. Subject to the completion of the transition within the two established deadlines, Eutelsat expects to receive the incentives in 2031. The company also expects the transition costs to be fully reimbursed.
