On July 27, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lin Jian presided over a regular press conference. A reporter asked that the 48th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee reviewed and approved the “Jingdezhen Handmade Porcelain Industry Remains” project declared by China and included it in the “World Heritage List”. What comments does the Chinese side have on this? Lin Jian explained that on July 25, the 48th UNESCO World Heritage Committee meeting held in Busan, South Korea, passed a consensus resolution to include the “Jingdezhen Handmade Porcelain Industry Remains” project declared by China in the “World Heritage List”, making it China's 61st World Heritage Site. The UNESCO World Heritage Committee positively assessed the authenticity and completeness of the project. Lin Jian said that a successful heritage application is not the end point of heritage protection, but a new starting point for further improving the inheritance and development of cultural heritage. China is ready to work with the international community to thoroughly implement the Global Civilization Initiative and earnestly carry out the implementation of the Convention for the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
