When the user starts the underage mode and sets the date of birth, an exclusive age-appropriate recommendation algorithm will be launched. Currently, Douyin's minor-only content pool adds about 6,000 new high-quality content per day, bringing the total to 7.7 million. While promoting age-appropriate content, this recommendation mechanism also simultaneously filters out content beyond the current age group's cognitive range or inappropriate for minors to watch.
