Wanguo Gold Group (03939) clarifies the partial landslide incident at the Jinling Gold Mine: there were no casualties and the mining operation was carried out as usual

According to the Zhitong Finance App, Wanguo Gold Group (03939) issued an announcement. The Company is concerned about recent reports in the online media that the subsidiary Jinling Mining Co., Ltd. (“GRML”) (a company incorporated in Solomon Islands) has a partial slope in the non-operation area of the mine where its subsidiary is located.

GRML holds a mining license and exploration license for the Golden Ridge Project, which involves the development and operation of a gold mine located on Guadalcanal Island, the central island of Solomon Islands, about 30 km southeast of Honiara, the capital of Solomon Islands (“Golden Ridge Gold Mine”).

After internal verification, the company clarified the incident as follows. At about 12:45 a.m. on July 27, 2026 (Solomon Islands time), a partial slope occurred at the northwest edge of the northern mining pit of the open pit, on the northwest side of the non-operation level. Prior to the incident, GRML had implemented safety control measures based on the situation at the scene, including closing and cordoning the affected area, and implementing safety warning and control. This incident did not result in any injuries or damage to equipment or property. Currently, mining operations at the Jinling Gold Mine are being carried out as usual, and all projects under construction have not been affected.

After the incident occurred, GRML immediately initiated an emergency response mechanism and implemented on-site safety control measures as soon as possible. Any non-work-related or unauthorized personnel are strictly prohibited from entering the affected area, and site closures and traffic control measures remain in place. At the same time, GRML has dispatched technical teams to carry out site surveys in affected areas to promote treatment and stable disposal.
