11:06 AM EDT, 07/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Porsche AG (P911.F) is planning a "socially responsible" reduction of 5,000 positions by 2035 as part of its comprehensive package to improve competitiveness. The layoffs will be carried out through natural attrition, demographic effects, special partial retirement program expansion, and voluntary severance agreements, according to a Monday release. The move is part of the German automaker's Future Package agreement with its General Works Council and 2035 strategy. Other measures include investing 2.1 billion euros in the Zuffenhausen and Weissach factories in Germany and extending employment and site protection until 2035.
