Fertiglobe Sets Up Alternative Routes to Continue Deliveries Amid Hormuz Disruption, CEO Says

09:13 AM EDT, 07/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Fertiglobe's (ADX:FERTIGLB) chief executive said the company has established alternative overland and sea routes to keep product deliveries going amid the prolonged disruption in the Strait of Hormuz, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday. In an interview, CEO Ahmed El Hoshy said the fertilizer producer expanded storage capacity across multiple locations and began shipments through trucks from Abu Dhabi to ports in the United Arab Emirates outside the waterway. Fertiglobe is also collaborating with Etihad Rail as it looks to add rail transport as another contingency measure. El Hoshy added that higher fertilizer prices helped offset additional logistics costs, Bloomberg reported.
