COSCO HAIFA announced that it plans to entrust Waigaoqiao Shipyard to build 10 ships and Xiangyu Haifang to build 5 210,000 ton bulk carriers through its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary Hainan Haifa Shipping, with a total transaction amount of 7.92 billion yuan. The transaction has been approved by the company's board of directors, and the transaction with Waigaoqiao Shipyard needs to be submitted to the shareholders' meeting for review. The newly built ships are expected to be delivered from May to December 2030, and will be leased to COSCO SHIPPING's subsidiary companies for a long period of time. The annual rent for each ship will not exceed 59.4 million yuan.
