UK Competition Regulator Launches Probe into Microsoft Over 365 Subscriptions

06:56 AM EDT, 07/29/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK Competition and Markets Authority launched an investigation into technology giant Microsoft (MSF.F) over its marketing of 365 subscription plans, according to a Wednesday notice. The probe will examine whether customers on Microsoft 365 Personal and Family plans were misled about their options before renewal and paid more due to changes to such plans. The competition regulator said it has not reached conclusions about whether Microsoft breached the law. Microsoft did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
